Complete Rebuild 2 Stroke

Complete Engine Rebuild
Starts at $680 (Labor)

Includes

  • Full disassembly of the engine

  • Thorough cleaning of all parts

  • Inspection of all components to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications

  • Detailed engine report provided

  • Exact cost estimate (vintage builds excluded)

  • Replacement of all gaskets, O-rings, copper/aluminum washers, and oil seals

  • Replacement of all necessary springs, screws, woodruff keys, lock washers, dowel pins, and circlips

  • Replacing the Crankshaft Main Bearings

  • Crankshaft Rounout check

  • Honing of all gasket mating surfaces

  • Setting of squish gap and ring end gap

  • Setting of static ignition timing

  • Cylinder honing/deglazing

  • Full engine reassembly using manufacturer torque specifications

  • Leak-down test prior to shipment to ensure functionality

 

Optional (Labor)

  • Bearing Replacement - $40 per pair

  • Exhaust Powervalve Rebuild - $60 - $140

  • Thread/Broken Bolt Repair - 20 - $60 per thread/bolt

Note: Please make sure to power wash the engine before shipping and drain the oil/coolant.

Top End 2 Stroke

Top End Rebuild
Starts at $280 (Labor)

  • Disassembly of Top End

  • Inspection of the entire Top End Assembly

  • Setting of Ring End Gap

  • Assembly of Top End

  • Checking the Ignition Timing (static)

  • Inspection of Reed-Valve Assembly

  • Cleaning of Exhaust Power Valve

  • Cylinder Honing/Deglazing

  • Hone the Cylinder Gasket Surface

  • Thread/Broken Bolt Repair - $20 - $60 per thread/bolt

  • Power Valve Service - $60 - $140

  • Water Pump Rebuild - 80 (if applicable)

  • Clutch Service - $60

  • New Seal on Counter Shaft - $40

  • Porting - $350

Top-End Rebuild Kits:

  • Available from Wiseco, Vertex, or ProX upon request.

Please note that we do not perform partial rebuilds (e.g., top-end only) on motors that we did not originally build. Our policy requires that any used motor not previously built by Motomonk undergo a full rebuild.

This approach ensures that we have a complete understanding of the engine’s condition and history, allowing us to establish a reliable baseline for future maintenance.
